MRI Angiogram
MR angiogram or MRA is a non-invasive angiographic technique useful for evaluation of the vessels in the body. They include assessment of arterial stenosis, aneurysm or arterio-venous malformations. The regions which could be imaged include the intra-cranial arteries, carotid vessels, pulmonary arteries, peripheral arteries, aorta, renal arteries and arterio-venous fistulas. Another major advantage of MRA over conventional angiography besides its non-invasiveness, is the absence of ionizing radiation involved with MRA.
